About Akita

Akita was born out of frustration- and love.

When my daughter got married here in Omaha, we were determined to create a wedding that felt distinctive and elevated. We wanted lace tablecloths, embroidered napkins, elegant unique chairs. Details that felt special, not standard.

What we discovered was a gap. Beautiful venues. Talented planners. Incredible floral designers. But very few refined textile options locally.

Everything we loved had to be sourced from across the country.

That didn’t make sense.

Brides invest in a beautiful dress. They obsess over florals. They carefully select lighting, decor and the perfect venue. Yet the tables- the very foundation of the reception- are often covered in basic linens that don’t reflect the significance of the day.

Your tables deserve to be dressed as beautifully as you are.

So I began sourcing them myself.

Today, Akita brings fine linens from around the world to Omaha, building an inventory that is layered, textural, and intentionally different. We proudly carry luxury collections, including Garnier Thiebaut, and we offer custom sourcing for clients who want something truly one-of-a-kind.

While linens are our foundation, we’ve also carefully expanded into complementary rental pieces that support a cohesive, elevated design. We are proud to collaborate with brides, planners, venues and fellow rental companies who want their events to be amazing, distinctive, and unforgettable.
